1. What this is

DOP VIP is deductible offset protection. It’s a monthly membership for a house or a business. On a qualifying loss, it pays toward your deductible, up to the protection amount you picked. It doesn’t replace the policy you already carry.

2. Price

Residential protection runs from $500 to $15,000 in $500 steps, at $14.95 per month for each $1,000. Commercial protection runs from $1,000 to $30,000 in $500 steps, at $29.95 per month for each $1,000. There is no $500 commercial amount. Stripe bills in advance. Changing the amount on the same plan prorates the difference.

3. When the offset is paid

All three have to be true:

• Your membership was active for at least 30 days before the loss.
• The loss is at least $1 more than the protection amount you picked.
• You send us the scope of work from your insurance company.

If any of those is missing, we don’t pay the offset, and we don’t refund what you’ve already paid.

4. What is included

On a qualifying loss, we pay toward your deductible, up to the protection amount you picked.

5. Your account

You pay first, from the home or business page. You’re responsible for the date of loss, the address, and the rest of what you send us. A commercial membership also includes the business name.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel in the billing portal. Protection continues through the end of the period already paid, then stops. A loss after that date is not paid. Starting again starts the 30-day wait over.
